Specific Environmental Release Classes (SPERCs)
08/07/2010
Industry Sector Associations have developed Specific Environmental Release Classes, describing the typical operations in their sectors including (conservative) release factors and efficiencies of RMM/OC. These SPERCs can be used for Environmental Exposure Estimates and are included in the Ecetoc TRA. Fact sheets with justifications for these sector specific parameters are under development and will be published soon.

Strictly controlled intermediates
28/06/2010
This guidance has been updated, better explaining rigorous containment and use of available hazard and exposure information.
Please be advised that the ECHA guidance on intermediates is in consultation process and the industry interpretation of SCC is still under debate with some member states. The new release of the ECHA guidance may lead to an update of the industry guidance.
Industry has prepared several examples
illustrating strict control of intermediates, depending on the available hazard and exposure information. These examples represent industry interpretation of SCC and are still under debate with ECHA and some member states. The examples do not include the required documentation to confirm SCC as in the industry guidance.

GES Worker Chemical Safety Assessment (CSA) Template
19/02/2010
This template supports the Cefic guidance on the Development of Generic Exposure Scenarios under REACH. The Template also helps Lead Registrants to translate available Sector-specific GES’s into substance-specific exposure scenarios for occupational exposure to support their substance registration.
Templates for the environment and consumer exposure are under separate development. Users will need to ensure that they have activated an appropriate level of security within the Microsoft Excel file to allow the macro to run.
